We focus on the parts of consumer health information where most readers are underserved — clear summaries of conditions, structured self-assessment tools, and unbiased comparisons of approaches across markets.

Updated regularlyStructured questionnaires based on validated clinical instruments where they exist, designed to help readers decide whether a symptom warrants follow-up — and what kind.
Anonymous · in-browserHealth concerns don't stop at borders, but the information available varies enormously. We translate insights and tools across markets where useful information is scarce.
Multiple languagesMost consumer health writing falls into two patterns: clinical guides that assume the reader already understands medical vocabulary, or marketing content that pushes products before a reader has even understood their concern. Neither serves the reader who's just trying to figure out whether something they're experiencing warrants a phone call.
“We help readers ask better questions — not buy more products.”
We try for a third path. Articles begin with what a reader is actually wondering — the question that brought them to a search engine — and work outward from there. We cite sources, link to primary literature where it exists, and we don't pretend to offer diagnosis.
Our self-assessment tools are based on validated clinical instruments where they exist (such as the IPSS for urinary symptoms, validated symptom checklists for parasitic exposure, and similar). Where validated instruments don't exist, we say so plainly and use structured questions designed to surface useful patterns rather than score them definitively.

HealthVerium is an independent online publication producing health information and self-assessment tools for international readers. We publish in multiple languages and serve readers across Europe, Southeast Asia, and Latin America — markets where accessible, sourced consumer health information is often scarce or only available behind professional paywalls.
The publication operates without institutional affiliation. We are not a clinic, not a pharmacy, not a medical device manufacturer. We are a small editorial team focused on consumer health communication, working with freelance medical reviewers across markets to ensure local appropriateness and accuracy.
We do not collect personal health information through this site. Our self-assessment tools operate locally in your browser; responses are not stored, transmitted, or analyzed by HealthVerium. Where we link to third-party services that do collect information (such as direct-to-consumer health products), those services have their own privacy policies, which we encourage readers to review.
